The Street Redesigns on Council’s Agenda

Now that Toronto’s election is over, it’s time to focus on the agenda facing councillors across the city. Road safety and transit were key election issues–how will Council now take action?

Our latest video is a refresher on the power of street design to improve our urban experience, and on the city building goals of the new City Council.

Our “Toronto’s Great Streets” report, launched in July, featured several recently completed projects that demonstrate excellence, but also “The Ones to Watch: Bloor Street, King Street, Downtown Yonge Street, Yonge Street North and The Golden Mile.

These five streets in the process of change stand to remedy problems such as congestion and lack of safety, while promoting public health and defining neighbourhoods. They will need careful stewardship to guarantee maximum benefit to local communities and visitors.
