In 2027, the Greater Toronto Airport Authority (GTAA) plans to open a transit hub that connects Pearson Airport with transportation services from across southern Ontario. To get an idea of what this new hub might look like, students from Ryerson’s Department of Architectural Sciences designed proposals for the Pearson Airport Transit Centre as part of professor Kendra Schank Smith’s fourth-year studio class. The designs were unveiled in December at a presentation attended by GTAA representatives.
